A new exhibition at Colonial Williamsburg’s DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum features apparel that turned heads for 240 years and demonstrates that fashion accessories were just as important in the distant past as they are today.

Tapas and Tunes Tapas and Tunes Presented by Colonial Williamsburg Foundation at Williamsburg Lodge June 13, 2009 - Ongoing The staff of the Williamsburg Lodge Lobby Lounge offers Tapas and Tunes. "Tapas," or small portions, originated in Spain as part of the social scene. "Tapar" means "to cover" in Spanish, and as the story goes, the first tapa was a slice of ham served on top of a sherry glass to keep sand from blowing into the drink. Bartenders soon realized the salty ham made the patrons thirsty, and a tradition was born. Today, tapas are enjoyed as individual appetizers...
