Appropriate for middle school and high school students:
This workshop allows students to learn the structure of a play and to explore the creative process of writing for the stage. Students will learn to create characters, setting and conflict through objective, as well as the importance of unity of time and place. When scheduled in a series, the workshop can culminate with the class writing and/or acting a scene together, or each individual student writing a monologue that classmates can read aloud and discuss.
