The sons of Malachi Malloy have been estranged from each other for more than thirty years, and now meet at their father's wake, which is being held in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1369 bar and bingo hall in Norfolk, VA. Mickey, the older son and his father's caregiver, has arranged the wake and funeral. Desmond Malloy, who vanished from the family and now lives in Sweden, arrives at the wake. Much to the dismay of their father's on-stage spirit, the reunion is rancorous.
