Madalyn Murray O Hair was a larger than life figure who rode a wave of bitter relationships into the pubic spotlight, earning herself the moniker of the most hated woman in America from Life magazine. Her dramatic life included: two failed marriages, multiple arrests, radical politics, challenging prayer in schools at the Supreme Court, an attempt to become a Soviet citizen and ultimately her murder.
