The Williamsburg Players

The Williamsburg Players is the area's oldest continuous community theatre. The troupe presents professional quality theatre productions in an intimate atmosphere where everyone in the audience has a close-up view of the action on stage. Guaranteed to please varied audiences, the Williamsburg Players has produced such favorites as The Rainmaker, The Secret Garden, 10 Little Indians, Shadowlands, Amadeus and many more.

    WP presents CURTAINS The James-York Playhouse WP presents CURTAINS Presented by The Williamsburg Players at The James-York Playhouse June 14-June 30, 2012 It's the opening night performance of Robbin' Hood!, "a new musical of the Old West". The curtain bow resonates with a sour note from the faded voice of Jessica Cranshaw, who can't act, can't sing, and can't dance - not even a little. As she takes her bow she also takes her last breath. The cast rushes to their fallen star. A few hours later, an impromptu funeral ceremony is interrupted by Homicide Lieutenant Frank Cioffi, who saw Robbin' Hood! in previews and thinks the cast are...
