Comment on Facebook Substance is a DJ collective, made up of local DJs in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. We host two weekly events at our home base - Belmont House of Smoke in Norfolk. We can also be found around town DJing various other events like the Masquerade in Ghent and TACT HIV/AIDS Benefit at G Patton Salon. In addition to serving our community by helping with various charity events, we are trying to bring a different breed of DJ/music experience to Hampton Roads. We do this by hosting an open DJ night every Tuesday which features DJ newbies and veterans alike spinning all the music you wouldn't hear on the radio. We not only try to provide a taste of music the public may not normally know of, but also give anyone who has ever wanted to be in the spotlight as a DJ the opportunity to do so.
