Norfolk Walkabouts

With the idea of sharing the delights of the Norfolk restaurant scene with locals and visitors, our vision for a food tour started. We wanted to develop a tour that would give participants an intimate perspective of Norfolk that no car or bus could provide. When exploring a city, what can be better than walking through the streets and tasting local fare? Thus, a Norfolk Walkabout Tour was born.

Norfolk Walkabouts was established in the spring of 2010. With Hampton Roads having experienced much growth and change over the past thirty years, the time arrived to tell the story of the first British and 400 year colony which originated in Hampton Roads.

Local Norfolk Walkabouts is a locally owned business that supports local restaurants and small businesses! Our philosophy is to provide a unique experience of the Norfolk area by taking locals and visitors to hidden gems and culinary visionaries that are not normally highlighted. We wish to offer an experience that boasts of our area's rich past, while drawing attention to our excellent cuisine.

We encourage all to participate and ask questions that may arise during the walkabout. Our goal is to provide you with an unforgettable experience of Norfolk. Because of this, we greatly appreciate any feedback that may help us in the future.
