The Chrysler Museum of Art combines, under a single administrative umbrella, one of America's great fine arts museums and two significant historic houses. In addition to maintaining a distinguished permanent collection, the Chrysler offers a comprehensive program of changing exhibitions and education activities for visitors of all ages. Their goal is to bring people and original works of art together. They believe that a visit to a museum should be both educational and fun, while providing visitors with a chance to learn more about themselves and their world.

      03/16/12- 07/15/12	30 Americans Exhibition at the Chrysler Museum of Art Chrysler Museum of Art 30 Americans Exhibition at the Chrysler Museum of Art Presented by Chrysler Museum of Art at Chrysler Museum of Art March 16-July 15, 2012 This spring, the Chrysler Museum introduces Hampton Roads to 30 Americans, an exhibition of intriguing contemporary art by internationally acclaimed artists who are African-American. From Robert Colescott and Jean-Michael Basquiat to Kehinde Wiley and Mickalene Thomas, 30 Americans surveys some of the most significant artistic contributions of the past three decades. This show brings together 75 works by 31 artists to include paintings, sculpture, photographs and videos.

This focused exhibition explores the urban metropolis as a source of poetic and visual inspiration for photographers across generations and continents.

Lee created works of great form, beauty and subtlety that reveal a deep feeling for his subjects and their life stories.
